CENTRAL/SOUTH AMERICA. Peru. Circa 1,100 AD. (26.7 cm tall). Chancay textile and reed doll. Made from alpaca fibers and reeds. A votive type piece with a child (?) seen within a cradle. This piece likely represented an actual person. In a custom plexiglass display case. Intact with vibrant colors. Amazingly intact given the materials of construction. Scarce.
