SELEUKID EMPIRE. Seleukos II Kallinikos. 246-225 BC. AR Tetradrachm (28mm, 16.89 g, 12h). Uncertain mint in western Asia Minor. Struck before the revolt of Antiochos Hierax. Diademed head right / Apollo standing left, testing arrow and leaning on tall tripod; monograms to inner left(?) and outer right. SC 674 (same dies as illustration); HGC 9, 303k (R3). Lightly toned, die breaks, minor metal flaw. Near VF. Very rare.

Unfortunately, this coin is not of substantially better quality than the example illustrated in SC. As such, while there does appear to be a trace of a monogram to the inner left, it remains unclear on this example as well.

Closing Date and Time: 7 October 2026 at 11:30:20 ET.

All winning bids are subject to a 20% buyer’s fee.
