Carausius. Romano-British Emperor, AD 286-293. Antoninianus (21.5mm, 3.39 g, 1h). ‘C’ mint. Struck circa AD 287-290. Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Clasped hands; C. RIC V.5 3215b (this coin, cited and illustrated). Dark green patina, slight bend, some roughness. Good Fine. Extremely rare. One of two examples cited in RIC V.5 and an RIC V.5 plate coin. The other example residing in the Ashmolean.
