Salmon, “the dies of this variety... show great balance in tree, inner and outer circles of dots, and the frieze which bears the finely-wrought inscription. Based on style it is likely that the engraver of this variety was also responsible for the iconic Salmon 1-A large planchet Pine Tree shilling”.
