LUCANIA, Metapontion. Circa 340-330 BC. AR Nomos (22mm, 7.69 g, 3h). Wreathed head of Demeter left / Barley ear with leaf to right; kerykeion and ΛY to left. Johnston Class A, 1.10 = Bement 184 (same rev. die); HN Italy 1556; Basel 154 (same rev. die). Toned, underlying luster, light scratch on obverse. Near EF. Excellent portait.
