CALABRIA, Tarentum. Circa 240-228 BC. AR Nomos (20.5mm, 5.99 g, 2h). Reduced standard. Nude youth, holding rein and placing hand on mane, on horse leaping right; below, ZΩΠYPIΩN and facing boukranion surmounted by ΣΩ / Phalanthos, nude, holding hippocamp and trident, riding dolphin left; to right, head of Silenos left above monogram. Vlasto 941 (same dies); HN Italy 1054; Côte 555 (this coin). Old cabinet tone, some light scratches under tone, edge marks. Good VF.
