[Bronze objects]
GREEK. Bronze protome of a Gorgoneion. Circa 3rd century BC. Length 55mm. Cast oval plaque of a grinning gorgoneion, with protruding tongue, staring eyes and wavy hair. Slight curvature indicates this was probably attached to a large vessel of some sort. Traces of resin on the back. Good condition, red-brown and green patina.
