[Epigraphy] MESOPOTAMIA. Terra-cotta Cuneiform tablet. Old Akkadian period, circa 2350-2150 BC. 38mm x 38mm. Clay tablet with eight line inscription, translation provided as “1 kor, 2 bushels of barley for coarse bread, Abba has given from the field of Ningalnundu; 2 bushels of barley for coarse bread E-mi has given, X-nig-du”. Gray clay, central perforation, by which the tablet would have been attached as a seal to the baskets of grain which had been collected either as tax or donation. Choice condition, one small void has been filled in. Nice clear cuneiform text.
