Crowned and draped facing bust, wearing short beard, holding akakia and globus cruciger, crown topped with cross / Large M; monogram above; SCL. DOC II 53; BBS 44; SB 1294. VF, black-green patina. Attractive strike on a broad, thin flan. Overstruck on uncertain earlier Syracuse mint follis.
