SELEUKID KINGS of SYRIA. Antiochos II Theos. 261-246 BC. AR Tetradrachm (16.67 g, 1h). Susa mint. Struck in the name of Seleukos I. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin / Zeus Aëtophoros seated left; monogram in left field, monogram below throne. SC 603.3a. Good VF, lightly toned, light cleaning marks on obverse.



Issues in the name of Seleukos I continued to be struck at Susa through the reign of Antiochos II. It is possible that the latest issues were struck under Seleukos II.
