KINGS of MACEDON. Alexander III ‘the Great’. 336-323 BC. AR Tetradrachm (17.07 g, 12h). Salamis mint. Struck under Nikokreon or Menelaos, circa 315-306 BC. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin / Zeus Aëtophoros seated left; monogram and rudder in left field, monogram below throne. Price 3169 var. (placement of monogram in left field). Good VF, slight die rust on obverse. Well centered and struck.



The monogram below the throne was re-engraved in the die over an uncertain monogram.
