THRACE, Byzantion. Circa 240-220 BC. AR 9 Obols (5.02 g, 1h). Antipater, magistrate. Veiled and wreathed head of Demeter right / Poseidon seated right on rocks, holding trident and aphlaston; monogram to right, EPI ANTIPAT[ROU] below. Schönert-Geiss, Byzantion 1031 (V2/R6); cf. SNG BM Black Sea 62; SNG Copenhagen 487. VF, toned, slight roughness, graffito (X) on reverse. Very rare.
