EGYPT, Alexandria. Hadrian. 117-138 AD. Æ Drachm(?) (14.36 gm). Dated RY 8 (123/4 AD). Radiate head right, slight drapery and aegis on left shoulder / Euthenia reclining left, resting arm on sphinx, holding spray of papyrus and poppies; date in left field. Cf. Köln 867/864 var. (obverse die/reverse type); Dattari -; Milne 1067 var. (no aegis); Emmett -. Good VF, weak strike on edge, brown patina. Extremely rare portrait type. ($1000)
