King in ship, holding sword and shield, banner with E; large rose on side / Ornate cross with rose and sun, ILLORV'\ in legend; trefoils in spandrels, mm: crown. Thompson, "Continental Imitations of the Rose Noble of Edward IV," BNJ XXV, Class IIIa, 8; Delmonte, d'Or 825; SCBC 1952. VF. A minute punch mark in the field by the banner, possibly a secret mark.
