SICILY, Syracuse. Time of Dionysios I. 405-367 BC. Æ Drachm (32.94 gm). Struck circa 395-367 BC. Head of Athena left, wearing Corinthian helmet / Sea-star between two dolphins. Boehringer, Dionysios pl. 39, 44; Calciati II pg. 111, 62; SNG ANS 454. Good VF, dark greenish-brown patina with some traces of red. Exceptional for issue. ($750)
