TUDOR. Edward VI. 1547-1553. AR (31mm, 4.73 g, 6h). Second period. Durham House (London) mint; im: bow. Struck January 1549-April 1550. Crowned bust right / INIMICOS + [EIVS +] INDVM + CONFVSIONE, coat-of-arms; E R flanking. North 1924; SCBC 2472. Attractively toned, spot on obverse,a few scratches, mark on reverse, good metal. Fine.

The reverse legend, appearing only on Durham House shillings of Edward VI, is a quote from Psalm 132:18: “As for his enemies I shall clothe them with shame.”
