ARABIA, Northwestern. Lihyan. 3rd-2nd centuries BC. AR Drachm (14mm, 4.05 g, 10h). Imitating Athens. Helmeted head of Athena right, with frontal eye; monogram on cheek / Owl standing right, head facing; olive sprig and crescent to left; all within incuse square. CNG E-162, lot 113 corr. (not Sabaean letter D on cheek), otherwise unpublished in the standard references. Toned, some find patina remaining, light porosity. VF. Extremely rare.
