‘ATYPICAL’ COINS, Laodicea type. Caracalla(?). AD 198-217. Æ Tetradrachm (25mm, 8.55 g, 1h). Laureate head right / Eagle standing facing, head right and tail left, with wings spread, holding wreath in beak; six-pointed star between legs. Prieur 1735A (this coin illustrated). Gray green patina. Good VF. Extremely rare – one of only three known to Prieur.
