[H. A. Green] Sotheby, Wilkinson & Hodge, London. Catalogue of a Collection of Greek, Roman & Byzantine Coins in Gold, Silver and Copper formed by H. A. Green Esq., During a Long Residence in Greece. (8 April 1895). 8vo. 14 pages, 144 lots; 1 plate. Ruled in red with prices realised and buyers’ names noted throughout. Attractively bound in contemporary half chestnut morocco and marbled boards, spine gilt, matching marbled endpapers. From the libraries of Frank Sherman Benson and Joel Malter with their respective bookplates on the front pastedown and first free endpaper respectively. Fine condition, rubbed and worn at extremities with some loss, the front endpaper detached, contents clean. An attractive copy of this rare catalogue featuring a small but impressive collection of Greek coins, including an attractive group of coins from Olympia. Very seldom offered and with a fine provenance.
