Benson, F. S. Ancient Greek Coins. Parts I-XVI: Introduction, Magna-Graeca, Syracuse and Sicily. (New York, reprinted from the American Journal of Numismatics, 1900-1904). Vol. I. (8), 12; map as frontispiece, 15, (1); 15, (1); 15, (1); 11, (1), (6); Vol. II. (4), 15, (1); 15, (1); 20; 10, (2); 11, (1), (8); Vol. III. (8), map as frontispiece, (4), 12; 11, (1); 12; 10, (2), (8); 16 fine collotype plates. All three volumes uniformly bound in quarter chestnut morocco and tan linen boards, lettered and ruled in gilt. From the library of Joel Malter, with his ex-libris on the first free endpaper of each volume, and presented by the author to the Long Island Historical Society with their ex-libris and embossed library stamps throughout. Inscribed by the author in the first volume, and with the authors compliment slip laid in. Fair condition, worn and scuffed at extremities, the last two volumes in the original slipcases, one defective, the boards of the first volume lightly marked, all three volumes internally clean. Rarely offered, either in the original form or the limited edition reprints as here.
