CELTIC, Balkans area. Lot of eight Axe heads. Circa 500 BC. Includes the following: Six (6) bronze socketed axe heads, lengths ranging from 120mm to 75 mm. Two with cast decorated hafts. Most with nice patinas but minor flaws, chips, breaks, corrosion, etc. // Small bronze axe head with flat tang, length 50mm. Slight chips // Stone boat-shaped axe head, length 105mm. Made of a rough brecchia-like black stone. Eight (8) pieces in lot. ($500)
