York mint. + AEDILRED around central R in pelleted circle / + AEDILRED around central small cross pattée. EMC 2008.0358 = Coin Register 2009, 232 (this coin); Booth, Coinage 8 = James Booth & Ian Blowers, “Sceattas and Stycas from Sancton,” in NC 1983, 28 = Abramson, Sceattas: An Illustrated Guide, Y300 (same dies); Pirie, Guide –; Pirie –; North 185; SCBC 856. Good VF, lightly toned. Extremely rare double obverse type.
