Hadrian. AD 117-138. AR Denarius (18mm, 3.38 g, 7h). Rome mint. Struck circa AD 119-125. Laureate bust right, drapery on far shoulder / Galley left, no oarsmen: at the bow a mast raking forward with sails attached but not unfurled, at the stern is a stern-post and an arched cabin under a curved aplustre. RIC II 113b; RSC 1174a. Near VF, toned, “bubble” beneath metal (possible fourrée?).
