ISLANDS off CARIA, Rhodos. Rhodes. Circa 404-385 BC. AR Tetradrachm (22.5mm, 15.23 g, 12h). Chian standard. Head of Helios facing slightly right / Rose in profile, with grain ear ‘budding’ to left and rosebud to right; POΔION above, small Δ to lower left; all within incuse square. Hecatomnus 58 (A38/P47) = Bérend, Tétradrachmes 53 (this coin); Ashton 31; HGC 6, 1418; Triton I, lot 544; Giessener Münzhandlung 24, lot 69 (same obv. die). Near EF, deeply toned. Well centered and struck. Very rare issue, only seven recorded, all from the Marmaris hoard.
