Poseidon, nude, in throwing stance right, holding trident overhead in right hand; retrograde ABVM downward to left; to right, bird flying right / Bull standing right on double exergue line; retrograde BVM in exergue; all within incuse circle. Kraay, Coinage, pl. III, 9 = SNG Fitzwilliam 580 (same dies); HN Italy 1743; SNG ANS –; SNG Lloyd –; Dewing –; Gillet –; Gulbenkian –; McClean –; Pozzi –. Near EF, minor edge split. Excellent metal for issue. Very rare.
