The Triumvirs. Octavian. Autumn 30-summer 29 BC. AR Denarius (19mm, 3.88 g, 5h). Italian (Rome?) mint. Head of youthful Mars right, wearing slight beard and crested Corinthian helmet / Circular shield, inscribed CAESAR around upper part of rim, the boss ornamented with star, lying on top of sword and spear in saltire. CRI 428; RIC I 274; RSC 44. Good VF, obverse struck slightly off center. Excellent quality silver.
