MYSIA, Kyzikos. 3rd century BC. AR Tetradrachm (22mm, 12.44 g, 7h). Wreathed head of Kore Soteira left, hair in sphendone covered with a veil / Apollo, nude but for chlamys draped from his waist, seated left on omphalos, holding phiale, left arm resting on kithara seated on ground to right; grape bunch to left. Cf. Von Fritze II 28–32; Boston MFA –; SNG BN –; Traité –. VF, rough find patina. Very rare variety, apparently unpublished with this control mark.
