SICILY, Himera. Circa 410 BC. AR Tetradrachm (17.14 gm). Signed by the artist MAI. The nymph Himera driving unruly quadriga right, Nike flying above, holding wreath and plaque inscribed MAI; ketos in exergue / Himera holding patera over altar; to right, satyr bathing in fountain with a lion-headed spout. Gutmann-Schwabacher 20; SNG ANS -; SNG Lloyd 1022 (same dies). Toned, good VF. ($1000)
