KINGS of THRACE, Macedonian. Lysimachos. 305-281 BC. AR Tetradrachm (29mm, 17.05 g, 12h). Magnesia ad Maeandrum mint. Struck circa 297/6-282/1 BC. Diademed head of the deified Alexander right, with horn of Ammon / Athena Nikephoros seated left, left arm resting on shield, spear behind; monograms to inner left and in exergue. Unpublished in the standard references, but cf. Thompson 102 illustration for an tetradrachm struck from a die engraved by the same hand as that for the present piece. See also Thompson 96 for the same exergal monogram as here. VF, toned, a few fine scratches. Very rare.
