LANCASTER. Henry VI. First reign, 1422-1461. AR Groat (25.5mm, 3.70 g, 10h). Annulet/Rosette-Mascle mule. Calais mint; im: cross 2 (pierced cross). Struck circa 1427. Crowned facing bust within tressure of arches; annulets flanking neck, tapering A in legend / Long cross pattée with trefoil of pellets in each quarter; no annulets, rosette after POSVI and CΛLI SIЄ. Whitton, Heavy, p. 240, 13c; North 1427/1446; SCBC 1836/1859. VF, toned. Scarce.
