Aelia Flaccilla. Augusta, AD 379-386/8. AR Siliqua (18mm, 2.15 g, 6h). Constantinople mint. Struck circa AD 383-388. Diademed and draped bust right / Christogram within wreath with central medallion; CONS•. RIC IX 78; RSC 8f; Triton X, lot 805 (same reverse die). Good VF, toned, some old scrapes beneath the toning, minor deposits. Extremely rare, only two examples on CoinArchives.


Only the third example we have handled, with the other two being the Triton X specimen (= Gemini I, lot 479), and CNG 57, lot 1430. These two examples are the same that appear in CoinArchives.
