Struck 1515. + MΛX º RO º IMP º SEMPER º ΛVGVST º ΛRCHDVX º ΛVST, crowned and armored bust right / · PLVRIVM · QZ · EVROPE · PROVIИCIΛRVM · REX · PRIИCEPS · POTEИTISSIMVS, Maximilian on horseback right, raising sword held in left hand and trampling fallen soldier underneath; before, soldier holding spear over shoulder; behind, angel flying right bearing crowned coat-of-arms; four coats-of-arms beneath. Vogelhuber 14; cf. Moser & Tursky 80 (for similar piece by same engraver). Good VF, toned, lightly chased as made.
