ITALY. Quintus Sertorius. Circa 123-72 BC. Cast Æ “Sestertius” (23.53 g, 12h). Manufactured circa 18th century. Bare head left; SERTORIVS to right / PROVIDEN MILITAR, stag right. See J. C. Rasche, Lexicon vniversae rei nvmariae vetervm et praecipve Graecorvm ac Romanorum cvm observationibvs et passim explicatione moongrammatvm (Leipzig, 1790), VIII:717 (q.v. “Sertorius”). Good Fine, brown surfaces. “C IVLIVS CAE” lightly engraved on obverse to left of bust.
