CILICIA, Tarsos. Mazaios. Satrap of Cilicia, 361/0-334 BC. AR Stater (24mm, 10.65 g, 2h). Baaltars seated left, holding eagle, grain ear, grapes, and scepter / Lion attacking stag left. Casabonne Series 2, Group F; SNG France 330; SNG Levante 105 var. (control marks on obv.). VF, toned, struck from worn dies, test cuts. Overstruck on a stater of Aspendos; last two letters of ethnic and edge of dotted square border visible on obverse.
