SYRIA, Seleucis and Pieria. Antioch. Pseudo-autonomous issue. temp. Nero, AD 54-68. Æ Dichalkon (16mm, 3.59 g, 2h). Dated year 110 of the Caesarean Era (AD 61/2). Laureate and draped bust of Apollo left / Laurel branch; ET IP (date) around. RPC I –; McAlee –. VF, green patina. Neither McAlee nor RPC list issues from year 110. Though the final digit of the date may simply be very weakly struck, it appears that this specimen dates to a heretofore unknown series. Extremely rare as such.
