SYRIA, Seleucis and Pieria. Antioch. Galba. AD 68-69. AR Tetradrachm (25mm, 14.49 g, 1h). Dated year 116 of the Caesarean Era (AD 68). Laureate head right / Eagle standing left on thunderbolt, with wings spread; palm frond to left, ETOYC ςIP (date) to right. McAlee 302; Prieur 93; RPC I 4193. VF, minor roughness. Rare.
Nice early portrait, very likely not working off of an official imago and thus not as severe as the later issues dated by regnal year.
