SELEUKID KINGS of SYRIA. Antiochos Hierax. Circa 242-227 BC. AR Tetradrachm (29mm, 16.49 g, 12h). Ilion mint. Diademed head of young king right, with pointed features and flying diadem ends / Apollo seated left on omphalos, holding arrow and bow; in exergue, owl standing left. SC 868; WSM 1603ε (same obv. die); HGC 9, 405f. Good VF, areas of smoothed corrosion on the cheek, truncation of bust, and before the ear as well as the right obverse field. Rare mint.
