Struck 1661 or shortly thereafter. Dutch East India Company monogram, C above (for Colombo); all within round incuse on obverse of a Tiflis mint Abbasi of 4 shahis of Shah Abbas II, dated AH [10]76 [AD 1665/6] (Cf. Rabino di Borgomale 185 [for type]; Farahbakhsh 85/7 var. [date]). Scholten 1285 (host coin date unlisted). Host coin VF; countermark VF, darkly toned, areas of flat strike. Rare.
