Andronicus II Palaeologus, with Michael IX. 1282-1328. Æ Assarion (21mm, 1.93 g, 6h). Constantinople mint. Struck circa 1294-1320. Draped bust of St. Andronicus facing, holding small cross before him / Andonicus and Michael standing facing, holding labarum between them. DOC 686-88; LPC p. 90, 39; PCPC 171; SB 2438. Near VF, dark brown patina with touches of red, one small spot of verdigris on the reverse.
