According to Schjöth (the Virgil Hancock reprint): "Wang Mang, Prime Minister for boy Han-Emperor P'ing (1 AD-5 AD), supposedly poisoned the boy in 5 AD. In 6 AD Wang named as emperor the 2-year-old infant Ju Tze Ying ....Wang continued as regent for the next two years. In 9 AD he dethroned the infant, and [ruled] as emperor until 22 AD when he was ousted, [he was] later killed in 23 AD. The Han dynasty ...again took power. Wang's rule, between the two Han eras, is called the Interregnum; Wang himself called it the "Hsin Dynasty."
