Pescennius Niger. AD 193-194. Æ Fourrée Core(?) (17mm, 2.23 g, 12h). Antioch mint. IMP CΛES C PESC IIIC ERIVS ΛVC COS II, laureate head right / VICTO R IV ST ΛV, Victory advancing left, holding wreath and palm frond. RIC IV 81f; RSC 76a. VF, dark green patina, roughness. Rare.

This appears to be the bronze core for a fourrée denarius. Alternatively, it could be struck from very low content silver, as bullion supplies were depleted in the region.
