Head of roaring lion right / Incuse head of calf right; rectangular punch behind. Bodenstedt Em. 13; HGC 6, 938 // Circa 454-428/7 BC. Fourrée Hekte (11mm, 2.25 g, 6h). Goat forepart right, head reverted / Owl with spread wings standing facing within incuse square. Bodenstedt Em. 42; HGC 6, 968. Average Fine, plating broken, the first coin with large, bulbous growths (i.e. “The Elephant Man” of Mytilene hektes). LOT SOLD AS IS, NO RETURNS. Two (2) coins in lot.
