THRACE, Hadrianopolis. Septimius Severus. AD 193-211. Æ (30mm, 11.70 g, 1h). T. Statilius Barbarus, hegemon. Struck AD 196-198. Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Hermes standing left, holding purse and caducues; ram at side. Jurukova –; Varbanov –. VF, earthen green-brown patina. Unpublished?

The Hermes types listed in Jurukova and Varbanov only carry the ethnic on the reverse. The left side portion of the reverse legend is largely unclear, but there seem to be faint traces of [...]CTA B[...], pointing to T. Statilius Barbarus, one of two magistrates signing coinage under Septimius Severus.
