Gilt bronze plaque. Roman, 1st–3rd centuries AD. Gilt bronze plaque fragment with pierced edges and four nails, now bent over, depicting repoussé bust of Athena/Minerva, wearing crested Corinthian helmet. Cf. Ashmolean 2.26 for a similar motif on an intaglio. Lower portion damages, some loss of gold.
