Rider, wearing petasos and chlamys and holding two spears, on horse trotting left; altar below / Π–[E]P (retrograde), Athena seated left, with legs crossed, on chair with curved legs and back, holding crested helmet set on knee. BCD Thessaly II 547 var.; BCD Thessaly I 1241 var.; SNG Copenhagen 193 (same rev. die). VF, light porosity.

The above cited BCD coins differ in minor details: the ethnics are longer; Athena holds the helmet aloft, supporting it with her left hand; and Athena’s legs are not crossed.
