THESSALY, Larissa. Circa 460-440 BC. AR Obol (10mm, 0.80 g, 12h). Horse walking right; above, lion’s head right / Λ–A–RI, the nymph Larissa walking right, balancing hydria on her raised left knee; to left, fountain head in the form of a lion’s head right, with water pouring from mouth. BCD Thessaly I 1112 (same dies; hammer of CHF 15000). VF, deeply toned, light porosity.
