THESSALY, Ainianes. Circa 350s-340s BC. AR Hemidrachm (15mm, 2.69 g, 12h). Hypata mint. Laureate head of Zeus right / ΑINIAN–ΩN, the hero Phemios facing, head right, nude but for chlamys and scabbard, preparing to hurl spear with right hand, holding petasos as if it were a shield in left. BCD Thessaly II 30.1; SNG Ashmolean 3826. Fine, a hint of porosity.
