Britannia seated left, placing right hand on the tablets of the Constitution, left supporting shield; in background to right, statue of Neptune on garlanded base / Seven females, representing the seven Ionian islands, dancing around British flag. BHM notes the medal was first published in Gentleman’s Magazine in 1818, so an initial striking must have taken place then. Additional examples would have been struck along with other medals for the National Series in 1820.
