ISLANDS off THRACE, Thasos. Circa 411-340 BC. Trihemiobol (Silver, 0.87 g 11). Satyr kneeling to right, his head turned 3/4 facing, holding a kantharos in his right hand. Rev. ΘΑΣΙΩΝ Volute krater with tall handles. Dewing 1329. SNG Copenhagen 1031. Nicely toned. Extremely fine.

Is this Satyr really running, or is he kneeling and turning his head to the viewer as if to offer him the filled kantharos that he holds in his right hand?
