Geta. As Caesar, AD 198-209. AR Denarius (19mm, 3.18 g, 12h). Rome mint. Struck under Septimius Severus, AD 199-204. P SEPT GETA CAES PONT, bareheaded and draped bust right / TEMP/OR FELI/CITAS in three lines within wreath. Cf. RIC IV 22 (distribution of rev. legend not indicated); RSC 196 var. (distribution of rev. legend) and 196a var. (obv. legend). Good VF, lightly toned, very minor porosity. An apparently rare variety.

RSC 196a cites only three specimens with the reverse legend distributed in this way, all of which have Geta’s earlier-type obverse legend that contains his praenomen 'L' rather than 'P.'
